For International Women's Rights Day, the Organisation
reaffirms its support for all women and celebrates their autonomy.

Introduction

The charity

Africa Hyambere is an Organization intending to help children get access to education, the growth and development of women and children to their full potential in Central Africa, especially in Rwanda.
To assist them, they are partially counting on Franco-African friendship and solidarity.

International Women's Right Day

Officialised in 1977 by the United Nations, this day traces its origins to the struggles of working women and suffragettes in the early 20th century for better working conditions and the right to vote.
It's a day of demonstrations around the world: an opportunity to reflect on the situation of women everywhere. It is tradition for activist groups and organisations to prepare demonstrations to celebrate past victories and achievements, but also to use this opportunity to remind everyone of the next steps and the fights still needed to achieve gender equality.

Description

On March 10th, 2018, Africa Jyambere organised a roundtable of women to discuss the essential subject of "My body, my choice". The goal was obviously to discuss and reassert women's body and their autonomy in the current social context.

It was important for the imagery to be an example of feminine strength, the dignity and the pride in asserting one's own body, despite the daily, physical and psychological violence.
