Introduction
The charity
Africa Hyambere is an Organization intending to help children get access to education,
the growth and development of women and children to their full potential in Central Africa,
especially in Rwanda.
To assist them, they are partially counting on Franco-African
friendship and solidarity.
International Women's Right Day
Officialised in 1977 by the United Nations, this day traces its origins to the struggles
of working women and suffragettes in the early 20th century for better working conditions
and the right to vote.
It's a day of demonstrations around the world: an opportunity to
reflect on the situation of women everywhere. It is tradition for activist groups and
organisations to prepare demonstrations to celebrate past victories and achievements, but
also to use this opportunity to remind everyone of the next steps and the fights still needed
to achieve gender equality.
