BRANDING / PRINT / WEB

ASDSSI is an Organisation working towards the economic and social development of southern Morocco and raising awareness in France about this region.

Introduction

The Organization

ASDSSI was created in 2010 through the initiative of its President, Saadia ANNI, a working nurse originally from the village of Idrgane, a small village in the heart of the Souss-Massa Region in Southern Morocco. Her first goal was to help and uplift the villagers of Idrgane.
Every project is conceived and conducted in close partnership with other local charities, in a truly collaborative dynamic. ASDSSI also occasionally call on specific skill sets.

The Projects

Initially limited to actions around healthcare and education, ASDSSI is now working toward a broader spectrum, including local economic activities, tourism, and the environment. It's also developing actions in the Rhône-Alpes region of France on topics like youth concerns, environmental protection, and local solidarity.

Description

The background is an organic paper texture that also looks like a stone-ish/concrete-ish grain, both giving an organic feel and reminding us of the landscapes and homes around the Souss-Massa Region.

The two main colours also evoke the Region's landscapes: the brown resembles the ground and its resources, and the blue resembles the sky and the water, which is essential in those parts of the country. The other colours in the logo and the graphic chart can also be connected to several parts of Moroccan and Souss-Massa culture.
The blue can also refer to the medical nature of the first organisation's projects.

Stacking paper pieces and photos is a way to highlight the human, homemade touch the team brings to each project.
In addition, the pictures show the faces of the people doing the work and the beneficiaries of their actions, made possible with the help of partners and donors. It gives a face and true meaning to everything the Organisation does.

Similarly, the fonts Sue Ellen Francisco & Quicksand show the hand-crafted manner of the Charity's work, the human scale, the organic way it functions, as well as the roundness and softness of their gesture. Yes, the Organisation is active in development for the villagers, but it's done with them too so they can take ownership of this development.
